Ahmed Jaber, Egypt’s Undersecretary of the Export Council for Printing, Packaging, Paper, Literary and Artistic Works, said that Egypt showed a rise in printing exports despite all the challenges facing the industry.
Jaber added that the printing sector recorded an increase in exports, amounting to about $773.99 million until October 2021, compared to $518.73 million until October 2020, also stressing that the percentage will increase by the year end.
He pointed out that the focus of printing industry will be on exports, trying to achieve the dream target of $100 billion. All initiatives are planned to support exporters and manufacturers, especially the local manufacturing industry.
Egypt’s export of books and publications has gained a 42% increase, reaching $13.35 million until October 2021, compared to $9.41 million for the same period in 2020.
