Egypt’s Ministry of Public Business Sector continues to promote investment opportunities for companies affiliated with the ministry. As per the directives of Mahmoud Esmat, Minister of Public Business Sector, the three projects, valued at $322 million, include production of dried pulp boards from palm leaves and tree pruning waste and cardboard and solar glass production lines.
The first project includes the production of dried pulp boards with an estimated production capacity of 75,000 tons per annum, or roughly around 250 tons per day. The estimated cost of the project is about $102.7 million. The payback period is about 12.5 years, and the internal rate of return is 14.32%.
The ministry is also seeking to launch a covered duplex cardboard production line with a manufacturing capacity of 66,000 tons annually, about 220 tons per day, with estimated investment costs reaching $26 million.
Yet another project of the ministry is to develop manufacturing capacity for ultra-high-clarity solar glass for solar panel production. The production capacity is 2,19,000 tons per annum with an estimated investment cost reaching $180 million.
