On 2nd September, the sprawling capital city of Cairo will host the sixth session of the Sharjah Cultural Honors Forum at the Supreme Council of Culture. This will be done to celebrate litterateurs including Egyptian-Alexandrian writer and novelist Mostafa Nasr; writer, poet, playwright, screenwriter, and researcher in Egyptian folklore Darwish Al-Asyouti; writer Samir Al-Manzalawi; and Saeed Noah, the Egyptian novelist who has published many stories and novels for their pioneering role in serving Arab culture.
Abdullah bin Muhammad Al Owais, Chairman of the Department of Culture in Sharjah, said that the second ceremony of the Sharjah Cultural Honors Forum in Egypt comes in implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, after the first ceremony was organized last April in the city of Damanhour in Al Buhaira Governorate. Egyptian writer Tareq Imam was honoured for his outstanding literary role, stressing that Egypt is considered a distinguished source of civilized and cultural giving and embraces, in addition to its distinguished archaeological heritage, thousands of creators in various fields of culture.
