ME Printer Squads With Smithers Pira For Online Survey

ME Printer Magazine is teaming up with Smithers Pira to organize an online survey on the Middle East print market trends in 2012. The survey will measure the progress made by the printing and package printing markets in the previous year. It will as well collect industry views on key drivers in the industry and will also measure the potential for digital printing technologies.

Smithers Pira, which was originally shaped as PIRA (Printing Industry Research Association) in 1930 is involved in conducting market research, strategic and technical consulting, testing, publications and conferences. After major acquisitions and mergers over the years, in year 2012 the association was acquired by the Smithers Group and was renamed as Smithers Pira.

As part of the project, both ME Printer Magazine and Smithers Pira will be helping each other in conducting the online survey. The magazine will be sending out email blasts to its wide customer database and involving them in the survey. Meanwhile, Smithers Pira is also promoting the online analysis through their LinkedIn page and website (www.smitherspira.com), where visitors are required to answer a fill in forum to complete the survey.

Once completed, the results will be published in Middle East printer magazine and will also be announced at the upcoming Gulf Print & Pack exhibition 2013.  Smithers Pira has announced that, as an appreciation, they will send a free Smithers Pira e-book (PDF) on Automated Print Solutions, worth US$ 400 to the respondents of the survey.

This eBook deals with Automated Print Solutions in two senses: systems where print files can be processed, sent to press and finished with minimal user intervention (with the print files delivered via the web being a key component); and ‘print anywhere technology’/’push-button printing’ where said button can be found on a desktop computer, smartphone or tablet device.
