Labelexpo Americas 2022 to Draw Big Global Audience
The 17th edition of Labelexpo Americas, the New World’s largest label and package printing event will be held at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, Rosemont, Illinois, from 13-15 September, 2022.
With over 400 exhibitors spread across five exhibition halls, visitors get a chance to connect with the industry’s leading suppliers, see some of the latest machinery and materials, learn about global label trends and technologies, and network with top industry experts. Labelexpo Americas is all about technology in action where you literally hear the noise of machines, feel the texture of substrates, and see the print quality for yourself.
The three-day event expects to see a large attendance from brand owners, label and packaging designers, industry suppliers, and printers and converters of labels, flexible packaging, and folding cartons wanting to enter new high-value niche markets.
The biennial Labelexpo Americas 2022 will feature live demonstrations from a range of segments including dies, cutters, and rollers; digital and conventional printing presses; finishing and converting systems; high tech label and packaging materials; inks and coatings; inspection, overprinting, and label application equipment; prepress and platemaking technology; RFID and security solutions; and software and interactive technology.
Tasha Ventimiglia, show director for Labelexpo Americas 2022 comments, “Labelexpo Americas 2022 will be the first time since the start of the global pandemic that many suppliers have had the chance to showcase their latest technology developments and we are thrilled to see the amount of working equipment that will be running at the Labelexpo this year. We are also expecting a big international audience led by delegations from FINAT, the European label association, and other world label associations.”
The exhibition will see a number of exciting world premieres of digital press technology, marking a new stage between analogue and digital printing. All major manufacturers have their products lined up for a maiden display. HP Indigo marks Labelexpo Americas 2022 with the global launch of the HP Indigo V12. Durst will be challenging 4-colour flexography with its Tau RSCi. For Konica Minolta, its AccurioLabel 400 5-colour label press will be unveiled for the first time in the US. For Domino, the event marks the worldwide debut of the N730i digital press. And for Mark Andy, the focus is on its traditional mid-market customers with the global launch of its Dpro Max press.
Ventimiglia adds, “The sheer number of global digital press launches at Labelexpo Americas 2022 demonstrates the importance of this show – the first time label converters have had the chance to see this exciting new machinery up close and in action for three years.”
Complementing the main exhibition is a Digital Embellishment Trail showcasing the latest developments in digital decoration technology from tactile inkjet coating to digital foiling and laser die cutting. Cartes, Epson, Konica Minolta, Kurz, Mark Andy, Prati, and Xeikon are some of the participating companies. “The Digital Embellishment Trail will allow attendees to explore the full range of digital decoration options, both stand-alone and inline, with live demonstrations, sample packs, and experts on site to discuss how digital embellishment can transform a converting business,” says Ventimiglia. Attendees can also learn ways in which they can make their business more sustainable by attending a themed area sponsored by TLMI, North America’s leading association for the narrow web tag, label and packaging industries.
Conferences to be held on the first two days will have high-level sessions examining the latest topics and trends including a global overview of the label market, how the supply chain complexities impact market growth, what does an automated future look like, staying competitive through mergers and acquisitions, the changing industry landscape, and opportunities beyond PS labels.
To celebrate the industry getting together for an evening of networking and entertainment, the Global Label Reunion Party will be held on the inaugural day of the expo at the sprawling Parkway Bank Park entertainment district, a short walking distance from the convention center. Tickets have to be pre-booked. The Reunion Party will also host the Label Industry Global Awards where winners from three categories – Environment & Sustainability, Innovation, and Rising Star – will be announced. Following the awards, the evening will be brought alive with the popular Chicago-based band American Pie taking the centre stage.
Opening Timings: 13 and 14 September: 9am to 5pm, 15 September: 9am to 4pm.
