Judicial Department Gets International HP Certification For Recycling Ink Cartridges
ADJD (Abu Dhabi Judicial Department) got an international certificate from HP for its contribution on recycling HP ink cartridges. ADJD had earlier entered into an agreement with HP Global for the recycling of ink cartridges and has won the international certificate from the company during the first chapter of the program, which lasted from April to June 2012.
The cooperation was carried out as continuation of ADJD’s environmental protection program. The agreement supported its vision for sustainability and formed part of its global best practices in the field of environmental protection.
The certificate as confirmed by HP has seen the recycling of 128 empty ink cartridges, which is equivalent to recycling 171 kg of plastic, chemicals and metals. As part of the program, special containers were placed in different parts of major buildings in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and the Western Region by HP. The procedure ensured that no harmful chemicals are released during the process. No financial costs were borne by ADJD during the implementation of this program.
