AMY Sees Growth Trends at Digi Sign 2012
Ahmed Moguib Youssef & Company (AMY& Co.), which is AGFA’s supplier in Egypt, participated at the recently concluded Digi Sign 2012. Youssef Moguib, President of AMY & Co. talked with ME Printer about the show and the latest changes in the printing industry. “AMY participated at Digi Sign by exhibiting an AGFA Anapurna MV machine. This time we were pleased to welcome AGFA’s Regional Sales Manager, Marc Van Braekel to the exhibition. He was present with us during the entire span of the show,” said Youssef Moguib.
He added, “We were also pleased to welcome a number of our public sector customers, and even a large number of our private sector customers, who mainly specialize in Inkjet outdoor and indoor applications.”
Rating their experience at the show, he said, “To some extent the show, in comparison to Digi Sign 2010, was of a smaller scale. The reason can be attributed to the current financial and economic situation in the Middle East. Fewer exhibitors were present this time. Nevertheless the show still managed to be a success seeing the number of visitors.”
“Two major deals were signed during the exhibition. One was for the AGFA Anapurna MV, which was displayed at the show, and the other deal was made on an AGFA Anapurna M2050.” Commenting about their sponsorship, he said, “Being the main sponsor of Digi Sign 2012 was a good advertisement for the company and it once again proved that AGFA and AMY have a strong presence in the Inkjet printing market of Egypt,” Added Youssef.
Talking about the future plans of the company, Youssef said, “AMY is optimistic that the political situation will stabilize in Egypt and therefore we expect a boom in the printing business. The company is also willing to invest in different sectors like advertising, sales and payment facilities to enlarge its customer base in the Egyptian market.”
