The first edition of Technoprint was held in 2006, with a total area of 4000 square meters in Hall 4 at the Cairo International Conference Center. The event proved to be a crowed puller and the hall 4 was filled with graphic arts enthusiasts.  Since 2006 the exhibition went from strength to strength and now it is the biggest printing extravaganza in the Middle East and North Africa. In 2007 the exhibition was extended to five days and expanded to four halls.

Why Egypt?

Egypt enjoys a privileged geographical location, as well as being the second-largest signatory to multilateral trade agreements in the world. Egypt connects investors to existing and emerging markets.

Egypt’s market offers manufacturers and developers a great value proposition. Egypt has a population of over 100 million and the largest consumer market in the Middle East and represents an enormous potential for FMCG manufacturers.

It offers an excellent investment climate, abundance in free industrial zones, and a promising climate for industrial progress, especially in the field of printing and packaging industries.

In principle, the Egyptian printing and packaging industry is not getting its fair share of the global market as it should. Egyptian printing industry dates back to 200 years ago. Now, with more than 8,000 print houses as well as manufacturers of printing equipment, it has to take its rightful place among the world’s leading suppliers of printed products. The first step to achieving this goal is to hold exhibitions at home and abroad. The Technoprint exhibition represents a starting point for achieving the following goals:

  • Introducing the latest developments in the field of printing and packaging machinery and technology to Egyptian print houses and manufacturers.
  • Connecting suppliers with customers from all over the world to promote printing, packaging, and advertising business in Egypt, Africa, and the Middle East.
  • Concluding the largest possible number of deals through direct contact between Egyptian printing houses and local and international suppliers.
  • Displaying the materials for the packaging industry that are manufactured in Egypt, with the aim of promoting and exporting them to all parts of the world.
  • Show the extent of the development of the printing and packaging industry in Egypt, and the extent to which the quality of products conforms to international standards so that the international buyer can benefit from the low prices of materials and products in Egypt.
  • Providing the opportunity to promote the newly launched products, equipment, and technologies during the fair, through workshops that are held specifically for this purpose, with a focus on international companies.
