Suez Canal University Goes Digital
Suez Canal university kick started its new 4 million Egyptian pounds printing and publishing center. The centre was inaugurated by Dr. Mohammed Mohammadein president and host of other university officials. In his speech Mohammadein said,” the printing industry has witnessed significant progress during recent years. The new centre aims at providing modern printing service to the university and surrounding communities with reduced price.”
Kamal Sharobim, University’s vice president said,” The new digital printing facility is equipped with latest high capacity printers to cater to the growing demand of students for books and academic publications. Our highly qualified students and experts contributed to this project. “
Sadegh Haddad, general manager of the center says the new 750 square meter printing and publishing center has been built as an extension to the existing university press which was established in 1982 will provide all kinds of digital printing services using latest laser printers and other state of the art digital equipment.”
University of Suez Canal was founded in 1976 and by 1977 already six faculties were running full time courses in the university. At the moment 50000 are studying at the university in different faculties from engineering to commerce.
