Roland DG Acquires ECO PASSPORT Certification

Roland DG Corporation, a leading manufacturer of wide-format inkjet printers and printer/cutters, announced that the ink and powder for its VersaSTUDIO BN-20D, a compact Direct-To-Film (DTF transfer) printer, have acquired OEKO-TEX ECO PASSPORT certification, an international standard that guarantees the safety of textile products.

With 17 independent research and test institutes in Europe and Japan, and partner institutes and contact offices worldwide, OEKO-TEX works to continually develop test methods and define limit values for the textile and leather industries to achieve the highest standards of safety and sustainable production worldwide. ECO PASSPORT is an independent certification system for chemicals, colourants, and auxiliaries used in the textile industry that verifies and ensures that each individual ingredient meets statutory requirements and are not harmful to human health.

The BN-20D, the newest addition to its popular VersaSTUDIO series, is an inkjet printer using the DTF method to transfer CMYK colours plus White on fabric for colourful, detailed graphics and text. The printer is versatile to handle not only cotton but also polyester, cotton-polyester, denim, nylon, rayon, and other materials, enabling the production of original T-shirts and sportswear through a simple process. Its wide range of capabilities and excellent efficiency has been highly evaluated, resulting in a great deal of attention worldwide in the apparel goods decoration industry.
