Signage Middle East Conference

 

This year SGI joined hands with UAE-based events and publishing company Enthrology to organize Signage Middle East Conference and Signage Middle East Awards.

The inaugural edition of the Signage Middle East Conference, held on January 11 – 12, 2015, at the Dubai World Trade Centre, brought together signage industry experts, from across the globe, including Lucien Moons, business development coach, Win Win Marketing; Alex Andarakis, founder and managing director, Andarakis Advisory Services; Dr. Nicholas Hellmuth, founder and president FLAAR; Rana Raychoudhury, worldwide principal technical consultant for large format production, HP; Ashish Panjabi, COO, Jacky’s Business Solutions; and Abdallah Ghalayini, managing director, Saga Digital to address industry relevant topics through individual presentations and panel discussions.

Pressing issues and trends highlighted at the conference included Signage and Consumer Behaviour – how consumers perceive traditional and digital signage and respond to each medium; Best of both worlds – how traditional and digital signage complement each other to extend the reach of a message, remain cost-effective for the business owner, and create greater customer engagement; Storytelling with Signage – why it’s important to have a ‘content’ plan in line with business objectives and how signage is integral to brand storytelling; Employing the Silent Salesperson – the impact of signage in retail environments and creating omni-channel brand experiences with signage; Innovation: the only way forward – new business opportunities and markets for large format printers, sign makers, and integrators to create new growth avenues rather than resort to unhealthy competition in their traditional markets; Sustainability – going beyond the buzzword to create a company culture; and Industrial and 3D Printing – changing the world of manufacturing.
