Egypt’s Chamber of Printing to Participate in NuNu Défilé

Nadiam Elias, Chairman of Egypt’s Chamber of Printing & Packaging Industries of the Federation of Egyptian Industries (FEI), has announced participation in NuNu Défilé, as part of the chamber’s plan to take part in exhibitions that are related directly or indirectly to the printing sector.

Jointly organised by NuNu Fashion and event management company Défilé D’Egypte, NuNu Défilé is a premium exhibition and fashion show for babies and kids to be held at the exhibition grounds at Nasr City from 28-30 July, 2023.

Elias stated that printing has an important role in the clothing industry and the two sectors are increasingly intertwined, as a product is defined by its high-quality printing and packaging, which are considered as significant factors in promoting and boosting garment exports.

The chamber said that member companies can enjoy a 25% discount to participate in the exhibition and hold bilateral meetings with several readymade garment companies, since both sectors are complementary to each other.

Elias also explained that the growth of the printing and packaging industry reflects positively on various other related industries including cosmetics, food and beverages, retail, and pharmaceuticals through value addition, by enhancing their functionality and quality.

He also spoke on how printing and packaging is complementary to garment production, lending the manufactured apparel an aesthetic appeal when reaching the consumer’s hand, thereby improving marketing efficiency in both Egyptian and foreign markets.

The printing and packaging industry contributes around 7% to 10% to Egypt’s non-oil exports, with total exports exceeding $1 billion in 2022. Making up 1.5% of Egypt’s GDP and providing thousands of job opportunities, printing and packaging is one of the Egypt’s key economic sectors.
