Saudi’s IPIC Boosts Packaging with New HEIDELBERG Press
Saudi packaging manufacturer Integrated Packaging Industries Company (IPIC) has invested in a new HEIDELBERG Speedmaster XL-106-7 LYYL offset printing press. The machine was successfully installed at the company’s plant in Al-Ahsa 1st Industrial City by a team of engineers from Juffali Printing Systems – distributors of HEIDELBERG products in Saudi Arabia – and IPIC’s operational and technical staff with support from HEIDELBERG Turkey. The Speedmaster XL-106 of the new Peak Performance Class addresses the diverse challenges faced by print shops in commercial and packaging printing including competitiveness and cost pressure, shortage of skilled workers, digitalisation, and sustainable production. The versatile press brings in autonomous printing to folding carton production. AI-supported functions with intelligent assistance systems embedded in the Speedmaster are able to configure complex production parameters automatically, minimising manual intervention. The Speedmaster XL-106-7 LYYL pioneers the overall concept of double coating applications. It not only allows you to combine conventional inks and a UV coating, it also offers a broad range of finishing options, such as matt/gloss effects, and full area and spot coatings with dispersion coating and/or UV coating. The option of storing all dryer settings enables accurate reproduction of repeat jobs in no time at all.Integrated Packaging Industries Company (formerly known as AlKifah Paper Products) was established in 1996.
