Print4All Conference 2026 to Preview Smart Printing Future

The highly anticipated Print4All Conference 2026 is officially set to open its doors from 1–2 July 2026 at the prestigious Centro Congressi Ville Ponti in Varese, Italy. Organised by ACiMGA and ARGI—Italian trade associations representing the printing and converting machinery industry—in collaboration with Fiera Milano, the conference aims to become a key moment of synthesis between market data, strategic visions, and practical applications, offering the supply chain a content-rich agenda designed to support industrial and strategic decision-making during a period of profound transformation.
Future of Print: Tech, Talent, and Life
The 2026 edition is built around the concept Humans Print the World, developed along two main directions—Human+Machine and Human+Life—guiding discussions on technological innovation, skills, sustainability, and the social role of packaging.
The Human+Machine track focuses on the transformation of production processes through artificial intelligence (AI), automation, and data management. The challenge is not simply introducing new technologies, but rethinking corporate organisation and decision-making models around tools that are becoming structural elements of manufacturing systems.
Human+Life shifts attention to the role of printing and converting in everyday life, and to packaging as a relationship device between companies, consumers, and the environment.
Packaging is no longer viewed solely as a functional container, but as a communication and accessibility surface capable of expressing corporate values and sustainability commitments. Topics will include inclusive design, usability, sustainability communication, and new sensory experiences connected to materials.
“There are two distinctive elements of the Print4All Conference in which, as an association, we fully recognise ourselves,” comments ARGI President Marco Marangoni. “On the one hand, its nature as a system event, always aimed at representing the entire printing and converting ecosystem, without favouring individual technologies. On the other, its strong vocation for collaboration throughout the entire supply chain, thanks to the active involvement of the various sector associations: an approach that generates positive energy and shared value for the whole industry.”
Marco Calcagni, President of ACiMGA, also shares these values: “Print4All Conference is an event where the entire market—from technology manufacturers to printers and converters, all the way to brand owners—comes together to share priorities and perspectives, but it is also a tool that strengthens the role of Print4All as a reference trade fair. The renewed support of the Italian Trade Agency (ITA) will also make it possible, for this edition, to broaden the outlook on foreign markets, strengthening the international positioning of Made in Italy printing and converting technologies.”

Global Leaders to Highlight Industry Transformations
Serving as a major vanguard for the printing and converting industries, this year’s summit brings to the main stage a distinguished lineup of global supply chain leaders. Attendees can expect an intensive schedule of specialised technology pitches designed to offer a direct look into the rapid structural transformations sweeping the industry. Key thematic highlights of the introductory sessions will target the latest advancements in industrial automation, production line efficiency, evolution of next-generation packaging, and integrated digital workflows.
A major focal point of the upcoming conference will be the critical intersection of modern machinery and human talent. TCE Group is scheduled to lead a deep dive into the complex relationships linking technology, production speeds, and new process models. Parallel to this discussion, the technical experts at Petratto will address the strategic issue of eliminating processing bottlenecks in folding-gluing processes. Their presentation will highlight how the fundamental man-machine relationship remains central and irreplaceable, even within the industry’s most automated operational contexts.
Environmental responsibility and future market landscapes will round out the pre-show technical briefings. Global driver Uteco will bring its field experience to the floor, sharing a comprehensive vision for advancing actionable sustainability in flexible packaging printing. Complementing this sustainable outlook, Heidelberg Italia will deliver a detailed presentation tracing the evolution of printing technologies in the newly emerging packaging industrial scenario.
Together, these sessions will provide concrete technical insights and valuable cross-application comparisons to help industry professionals successfully navigate the upcoming challenges of the global supply chain.
Balancing Opportunities and Risks
The conference will also analyse market figures and external scenarios influencing industrial decision-making. Recent indicators show a sector moving at two different speeds. On one front, a growing demand for printing is being driven by investments in high value-added applications and UV/UV LED technologies. Conversely, machinery manufacturers continue to face increasing competitive pressure and rising imports.
At the same time, strong resilience signals remain evident through high levels of industrial investment and employment growth within the sector.
From a regulatory and geopolitical perspective, discussions will focus on PPWR, cellulose and recycled fibre availability, food contact requirements, dependence on Asian supply chains, and the impact of energy and raw material costs on European competitiveness. These are the conditions within which companies must design medium- and long-term strategies.

Significance of Skills Development
Another key theme concerns skills development. Technological transition requires targeted educational paths and corporate policies capable of attracting and training younger generations. The Italian research study on inclusion and skills will provide practical insights into how companies can rethink organisational models, career paths, and upskilling initiatives in order to ensure workforce adaptation and increase the attractiveness of the industry.
The event doubles up as a space for technical and market updates and as a collective laboratory where technology suppliers, printers, converters, brand owners, and stakeholders contribute to shaping a shared vision for the future of printing and converting.
With ITA’s support and the participation of an international delegation of around 60 operators from more than 30 countries, Print4All Conference 2026 further strengthens its international positioning as a strategic platform leading towards Print4All 2027.
