PERURI, Sudan’s SCPP Sign MoU to Boost Security Printing

PERURI, Indonesia’s state-owned currency and security printing enterprise, entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sudan Currency Printing Press Co., Ltd. (SCPP) to bolster high-security printing capabilities and infrastructure.
The MoU was signed at the PERURI head office in Jakarta on 11 December 2025. The collaboration establishes a framework for joint operations in banknote production, the manufacturing of high-security documents, and commercial printing services.
Expanding Global Footprint
Dwina Septiani Wijaya, President Director of PERURI, emphasised that this international venture was a pivotal move for the company’s global expansion. “This partnership not only strengthens our industrial capacity but also creates a vital platform for the exchange of advanced technology and technical expertise,” states Wijaya in an official release.
The cooperation is designed to leverage the combined technological strengths of both nations. Key areas of focus include specialised banknote production utilising advanced security features to safeguard national currencies, development of confidential and high-integrity government documents, and providing professional technical consulting services to ensure the highest international security standards in printing processes.
Strengthening Financial Resilience
The partnership is expected to play a critical role in supporting the financial stability of both nations. By integrating PERURI’s proven track record with SCPP’s regional influence, the two entities aim to innovate within the security sector.
Mohamed Abdel Rahman Muktar, General Manager of SCPP – which is owned by the Central Bank of Sudan – expressed optimism regarding the long-term impact of the deal. He noted that the partnership would introduce new innovations to foster a more secure and efficient financial environment in both Sudan and Indonesia.
Looking Ahead
As PERURI continues its transition towards becoming a global high-security technology provider, this agreement serves as a foundation for broader technical cooperation. The initiative aligns with Indonesia’s broader goals of exporting state-owned industrial expertise and securing a larger share of the international security printing market.
