During the event, ME Printer had a chat with Kees Verton to know more about the print management services of HP and about his new role. “I recently arrived in Dubai and currently I and my team are responsible for planning the strategy, price, business management and setting priorities for HP’s printing solutions in the region. When I say printing solutions, it includes hardware, software, consumables as well as the services associated with it. Though I’m new to this region, I have an experienced team, which helps me to understand the regional aspects of the business. I have been with HP for the last 17 years, which includes 13 years in the PC business and 4 years in printing solutions. I was HP’s country manager in Netherlands and I will use my experience to develop HP’s printing business in the region.”

Kees Verton added, “HP is a world leader in print management services from delivery perspective as well as from vision perspective. But first and foremost we are a printing company, who offer different solutions and packages to the corporate and graphic arts industry. .”

Talking about their plans for Gitex, Kees Verton said that their focus will be on the Ink Advantage Solutions. He added that the company would be displaying a wide range of other products as well.

Detailing about the latest trends in the printing industry, he said, “The major development in printer business is happening within the software arena. Customers are now more interested in the IT components of the printers rather than the hardware side of it. We have a strong line up of IT components such as FutureSmart firmware and Universal print driver.”
