Iraq-based printing and packaging company Fabyab Group has commissioned a state-of-the-art BOBST EXPERT CI 8-colour flexographic press at its Erbil production facility. This automation upgrade significantly scales the company’s packaging footprint to meet robust domestic supply chains and regional export demands.

The newly integrated BOBST EXPERT CI platform features the BOBST smartGPS graphic positioning system, an offline, fully automatic register and impression setting system. By executing complex configurations completely away from the press during the plate mounting phase, the system eliminates traditional on-the-fly manual setup steps. This advanced digitalisation sharply accelerates job changeovers, minimises start-up substrate waste, and optimises process consistency across all operational shifts.
The technology deployment allows Fabyab to scale production volumes while consistently meeting the rigorous high-fidelity print standards demanded by global brands.
