IPACK-IMA to Celebrate Processing, Packaging & New Materials

Milan is set to become the beating heart of industrial innovation with IPACK-IMA 2025. The international event celebrates the art of innovation in processing technologies, packaging, and new materials.

International Hub for Innovation

From 27-30 May 2025, Fiera Milano will host over 1,300 exhibitors from 28 countries, with international participants making up 38% of the total and strong representation from Germany, Turkey, the Netherlands, France, and China.

Spread across 8 halls and over 60,000 sq m, IPACK-IMA will showcase cutting-edge technological trends and solutions, many making their global debut.

More than 400 selected buyers from 63 countries will attend the event, with key markets including India, Armenia, China, Mexico, and Ethiopia. This underscores IPACK-IMA’s role as a strategic global meeting point and platform for exchange.

The main sectors represented include technologies aimed at Grain-Based Food (30%), Food, Fresh & Convenience (30%), End of Line Solutions (20%), Liquid Food & Beverage (15%), and Pharma & Chemicals (5%). Additionally, the IMA Group will join Pharmintech 2025, the exhibition specialised in pharmaceutical processing and packaging solutions.

High-profile Events

Adding energy to the exhibition, more than 40 events and 120 international speakers from the industry, academia, and media will animate the experience for professionals and buyers.

Among the most anticipated moments is ‘Visioni d’Avanguardia’, organised by IPACK-IMA and UCIMA, exploring the intersection of art, technology, AI, and creativity. The event takes place on 28 May at 5 pm in the Fiera Milano auditorium, followed by the official party celebrations at night that comes with an impactful networking opportunity in an informal setting for buyers, exhibitors, and media.

The Best Packaging Awards, promoted by the Italian Packaging Institute, will celebrate the best Italian packaging solutions on 28 May at 3 pm at Tech Space, Hall 2.

On a global scale, the WorldStar Awards, organised by the World Packaging Organisation (WPO), will honour international excellence in packaging with an exclusive ceremony on 30 May at 6.30 pm at Teatro Alcione, Milan’s cultural landmark.

Among the specialised events, the Pastaria Festival, curated by Pastaria, will offer a platform for pasta producers on 28-29 May at Innovation Space, Hall 5.

Key themes will take centre stage: sustainability, digitalisation, and artificial intelligence. From smart factories and cybersecurity solutions to food safety, security, and regulatory challenges, IPACK-IMA demonstrates how innovation can shape a responsible and efficient future, even within a complex global landscape full of opportunity.
