FESPA Global Print Expo 2023 Promises more than Print

FESPA Global Print Expo 2023, Europe’s leading exhibition for screen and digital, wide format, and textile printings will take place at Messe München, Germany, from 23-26 May, 2023.

Hundreds of exhibitors among print service providers (PSPs) and sign-makers will display their latest innovations and product launches across décor, graphics, industrial, packaging, and textile applications.

Into its seventh year, Printeriors 2023 will bring together the global print community to celebrate and showcase the latest in interior decoration. Products will cross all print processes, inks, and applications including acoustic surface treatments, carpets, decorative elements, fine art, laminates, light boxes, lighting, metallic and hard surfaces, textiles, wall coverings, and accessories. Environmentally-friendly natural fibres, recycled products, and synthetics with a growing selection of sustainable and responsibly-sourced options will be the featured materials.

FESPA will also be launching Wrap Fest, a new vinyl installation and vehicle wrapping event debuting in 2023. The event will run for the first time from 26-27 April, 2023, at the Silverstone racing circuit, the iconic home of the British Grand Prix. The event will attract professionals in vehicle wrapping, livery and fleet graphics, car detailing, protection and tinting services, racing teams, and automotive professionals, besides printers and sign-makers who are looking for revenue growth from vehicle wraps, architectural interiors, and signage.

The launch event features an exhibition, educational conference, hands-on training sessions and workshops, and a new regional UK and Ireland World Wrap Masters competition. Prominent world brands will display their latest in custom vehicle wrapping and detailing, including decorative and paint protection films, window tints, digital printing and laminating equipment, vinyl cutting and finishing, design software, cleaning products, and a range of tools and accessories. A maximum of 36 wrappers will compete across the two-day event in the regional heat with the winner going on to compete in popular World Wrap Masters final at FESPA Global Print Expo 2023.

The Sustainability Spotlight will provide actionable, informative, and useful information to address needs of people, planet, and profit.

The FESPA Awards 2023 has added a new category to zone in on sustainability-produced applications. Graeme Richardson-Locke, FESPA’s Head of Associations and Technical Lead comments, “As the demand for sustainable production and strong environmental credentials is rising in the industries we represent, printers and sign-makers are in the process of rethinking their production practices by reducing waste and recycling materials. With sustainability being at the top of the agenda for FESPA for quite some time, the Sustainability Award highlights the incredible talent of companies who are driving change in this area.”

Another prized category is the Young Star Award open to those aged 16 to 25 and working as vocational trainees or students in digital or screen printing and design. Contenders can enter this award for free by submitting their work in any of the print-related categories. Winners take home a prize money of €1,000.

In addition to the Sustainability Award, there are three further awards that all entrants are automatically considered for. The People’s Choice Award is voted for by FESPA’s online community across all categories and voting for this award will be open from 13 February, 2023. The Best in Show Award and the Judges Award for Innovation are chosen by the FESPA Awards judges.

Visitors to the exhibition will be able to share information, explore new trends, make investments, and discover the latest innovations. FESPA Global Print Expo 2023 will be co-located with European Signage Expo 2023, Europe’s leading non-printed and visual communications exhibition for signage solutions.
