Canon Emirates, a subsidiary of Canon Middle East signed an MPS (managed print services) agreement with Economic Zones World (EZW), the developer and operator of major economic zones in Dubai, to provide them with necessary infrastructure to manage their printing needs.
The Canon MPS agreement involved the installation of consolidated models of the Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE series at the EZW offices in Jebel Ali and two other remote locations. Canon Emirates also installed devices that are located on service counters which are customer facing and are very important in meeting high levels of uptime, as part of the agreement.
All printers use uniFLOW, Canon’s integrated print and scan management solution which enables a flexible and scalable way for organisations to manage their printing and scanning activities efficiently, securely and cost effectively.
“EZW had a number of vendors and a range of models supplying us with the infrastructure to support our printing needs. However, managing them all was a difficult task. Canon’s print solution was a good option for us, as Canon printers use the latest technologies that monitor print behaviour, reduce paper and energy consumption, improve information security and provide features like “follow-me-printing” thereby reducing carbon footprint in the long term. The uniFLOW solution employed by these printers helps in curbing unnecessary costs, and time, and ensures safe output of sensitive documents,” said Saji Mathew, SVP & Chief Information Officer, EZW
The signing of the agreement with EZW is yet another milestone achieved by Canon as Economic Zones World (EZW) is a global leader in developing and operating economic zones, technology and industrial parks and its current portfolio includes Jafza, one of the largest free zones in the world.
“With multiple vendors supplying printing infrastructure, companies often find it difficult to tackle the strict service level guidelines. In such a scenario, Canon’s MPS solution offers outstanding value and excellent control over printing infrastructure without compromising on user efficiency and productivity. We combine the right people, technology and processes to provide a service that allows our customers to create an efficient, flexible and cost effective printing environment. We are elated to have secured the trust and confidence of a global leader such as EZW,” said Shadi Bakhour, General Manager, Canon Emirates.
“Canon’s printing solutions is built for busy workgroups and departments that would want their printing needs to be taken care of separately so that they can focus on their core business without worrying about costs,” concluded Bakhour.
