BOBST Wins EDP Accolade for Packaging Printing
Packaging solutions major BOBST has received an accolade from the European Digital Press Association for its DIGITAL MASTER 55 at the EDP Awards 2025. The awards ceremony was held at FESPA 2025, Berlin, on 8 May.
The all-in-one digital printing and converting platform has taken the top prize in the Packaging Printing (Folding Carton – Digital/Hybrid) category, impressing the judges with its modular design and advanced automation.
The DIGITAL MASTER 55 is tailored for the folding carton industry, opening up new possibilities for short-to-mid-size runs. The platform also provides a unique opportunity for businesses looking to enhance overall efficiency and profitability with short lead times and high product quality.
Combining printing, embellishment, quality control, and die-cutting inline at 100 mpm (metres per minute), the DIGITAL MASTER 55 ensures the shortest time to market and the lowest total cost of ownership (TCO) among printing and converting solutions.
Besides Packaging Printing, the other seven categories in this year’s awards included Software, Large & Wide Format Printing, Commercial Printing, Specialty Printing, Finishing & Embellishment Solutions, Automation and Quality Control, and Inks & Substrates.
Launched in 2007 by the European Digital Press Association, the annual EDP Awards are the most prestigious technical awards in the digital printing, publishing, and packaging industries. The jury is made up of independent experts from Europe’s 20 leading trade magazines.
