AGFA Introduces The Avalon B8 CTP System


Agfa Graphics introduced for the first time in the world its new Avalon-B8 CTP system. The machine was unveiled at Giffin Graphics demo centre in Sharjah. Agfa claims the new Avalon B8-24 S seamlessly integrated with Agfa Apogee workflow and imaging on the Azura TS plates, will deliver affordable high quality and care-free plate production for your commercial, packaging and publishing printing business.

During an event held in Giffin Graphics premises Dominiek Arnout, Agfa Graphics’ Inkjet Vice President highlighted Agfa Graphics strategy for inkjet technology and its plan to intensify company’s activities in LFP sector.

The event was held parallel to SGI 2014 show. During SGI Agfa showcased its new UV roll-to-roll printer and the new generation of solvent inks.

The Asanti workflow solution for wide format printers was also introduced to the region. When it comes workflow printers in the region have some catching up. According to Manesh Shetty Agfa Graphics Regional Sales Manager the company is convinced that workflow will become a key differentiator and will give companies the opportunity to manage their production printing process and gain competitive advantages.

At Giffin Graphics event Blue Rhine a leading distributor and manufacturer of innovative and value added solutions for the advertising, signage and construction industry presented the sales opportunities in the inkjet textile market explaining all different applications and media. Next stop Colormix a major Agfa customer explained why wide format printing is a stable business where growth is expected due to World Expo 2020.

Meanwhile during SGI Agfa’s Anapurna M3200 RTR UV with top speed of 114m²/hour made a strong introduction. The machine is designed for high quality indoor applications and an ideal successor for existing solvent systems.

The Jeti Titan 3020 flatbed printer also caught the visitor’s attention with is high printing quality output and special applications printing for interior decoration, printing directly on doors, relief printing etc.
