ECS 2025: Innovations, Knowledge & Networking
Aesthetic, functional, process-proof, sustainable. The demands placed on paints and coatings are growing all the time, with decision makers and thought leaders in the industry facing the challenges.
Against this backdrop, the global coatings, paints, and inks community will convene at the European Coatings Show 2025 (ECS 2025) to be held at NürnbergMesse, Germany, from 25-27 March, 2025. The three-day event provides a platform for industry players to make new business contacts, meet up in person, and network. Trade visitors can look forward to specialised providers from around the world offering an extensive range of adhesives; printing inks; paints; laboratory, production, testing, and measurement systems; and construction chemical materials.
The conference programme overlaps with the show, running from 24-26 March, and provides an opportunity for in-depth knowledge sharing with over 140 presentations. Tutorials will be also be offered in advance to help prepare for the conference.
ECS 2025 will occupy a total of eight exhibition halls, six of which will accommodate raw materials for paints, printing inks and adhesives, construction chemical precursors, and associated services. Hall 4 will focus on laboratory and production technology, testing, measuring and application systems, environmental protection, and occupational safety. Hall 4A combines all product and service segments.
ECS Conference: Two-and-a-half Days of Knowledge Input
As a meeting place for the coatings sector, ECS Conference offers a wealth of forward-looking trends, where the crème de la crème can learn about the latest formulations, processes and plant technologies, and benefit from discussion with colleagues. The seminar offers two-and-a-half days of knowledge input on core themes of sustainability, organic based raw materials, and solvent-free formulations. A new record has been set with more than 280 submissions to the conference programme, which once again emphasises the great power of innovation of the coatings industry.
The ten pre-conference tutorials led by prominent experts on the morning of 24 March, will rapidly bring newcomers up to the state-of-the-art and provide good preparation for taking active part in the conference days that follow.

ECS Conference Award
The speaker who presents the best scientific and/or technical paper at the ECS Conference will be honoured. An independent jury will select the best conference submission – decidedly a measure of excellence in industry technology.
After Work Reception
Following an intensive first day at the ECS Conference, After Work Reception will provide further opportunities for personal dialogue, where participants can mix with speakers in a relaxed ambience and expand their network that includes other industry experts.
NEW! ECS Student Poster Award
New to ECS 2025 is the ECS Student Poster Award. During After Work Reception, at the end of the first day of the conference, students will have the opportunity to present their research results in the form of posters. The ten best among them will receive a prize of €500. During the poster session, creators will be able to give a pitch in the presence of conference delegates as they compete for the 2025 ECS Student Poster Award.
Expertise through Product Presentations
In more than 100 product presentations, exhibitors will share expertise on the use of their raw materials and of laboratory, production, testing, and measuring technology. The presentation stages in Halls 3 and 5 are set to be the focal point for trade visitors seeking fast and concise information about the latest developments.
Start-ups@ECS: Showcasing Innovative Products & Professional Networking
The Startup Area in Hall 2 enables start-ups and young companies from Germany and abroad to introduce themselves and their product innovations to the professional community at ECS 2025 at a modest cost. Additional start-up presentations in the exhibitor forum in Hall 3 offer further insight into the start-up scene in this sector.
Go Digital with MyECS
The new MyECS platform offers visitors and exhibitors extensive information on the trade show and all exhibitors and presentations. Seamless integration into the ECS app enables visitors to prepare their attendance perfectly – and the scan function means there is no need for physical business cards.
