UAE-based Arabian Can Industry LLC, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Al Ghurair Group of Companies, has become the second international associate member of Europe’s industry association European Metal Packaging (Empac).
Established in 2000, Arabian Can Industry (ACI) specialises in 3-piece metal can manufacturing for a variety of foodstuff. ACI also supplies printed tin sheets with their components.
“Arabian Can Industry is delighted to have joined Empac. The company started exporting in 2003 to the wider Middle East, Africa, Sri Lanka and India. But today, our goal is larger. Joining Empac will help us better understand the trends in the European metal packaging market and its current laws and regulations. I am confident that this important step for the company will bring us mutual benefit in the sharing of information, and will add to the development of the metal packaging industry in the Middle East and North Africa,” said Neil Houghton, General Manager of Arabian Can Industry LLC.
Empac brings together more than 200 manufacturers, suppliers and their national associations, to promote the benefits of rigid metal packaging. Empac is the unified voice of the rigid metal packaging industry throughout Europe. The association presents the industry’s views, make recommendations, and voice opinions on the social, environmental and economic issues affecting the industry.
