UAE’s du Achieves Sustainability Milestone

Dubai-based telecommunications service provider du has achieved a milestone in its sustainability journey by recycling over 14,000 kg of waste and planting 14 trees.

The success was a result of du’s collaboration with Emirates Environmental Group (EEG), a Dubai-based environmental NGO, and their waste management programme and annual tree planting campaign.

As part of the ambitious sustainability initiative, du’s warehouse team, in partnership with EEG, successfully recycled 13,040 kg of paper and 1,240 kg of plastic, which resulted in a considerable reduction in waste output and a tangible contribution towards environmental preservation.

Acknowledging du’s commitment to sustainability, EEG awarded the telecom company the opportunity to plant 14 trees under its ‘For Our Emirates We Plant’ campaign, which is part of ‘One Root, One Communi-Tree’ (OROC), one of EEG’s major projects.
