A delegation from Istanbul-based carton packaging manufacturers association Karton Ambalaj Sanayicileri Derneği (KASAD) completed a recent visit to a Komori factory in Japan, continuing with a mix of deep technical exchange and cultural discovery.
Members of KASAD, together with Komori distributors ARAS Grup, joined the Japanese press manufacturer to explore advanced printing technologies along with the beauty, values, and precision behind Japanese craftsmanship.
“We see it as our responsibility to add creative thinking that can influence best manufacturing practices – by promoting optimised sheet sizes (44” as successor for format 6), higher automation (Super Short Make Ready), and reduced waste (reverse printing and Smart Color technology). This is how we help shape a more efficient and sustainable future packaging production,” says Ulrich Sause, Regional Sales Director, Komori International Europe.
“Moments like these strengthen mutual understanding and trust – the foundation of any long-term partnership. We are proud to be part of this journey and excited about what lies ahead for the packaging sector,” adds Sause.
Established in 1991, KASAD represents over 80% of the folding carton sector in Turkey. The association’s main objectives include fostering cooperation among members, promoting education and knowledge within the industry, and improving the folding carton sector.
