Dr. Saeed Musabeh AlKaabi, Chairman of the Sharjah Education Council, recently announced that the students camp organized in cooperation with the Sharjah Research Technology and Innovation Park (SRTI Park), achieved the desired results by allowing students to explore and develop their skills in the design process, to form innovative products, and to experiment with many high-quality equipment.
The announcement was made during the conclusion of the camp which saw 50 participating students being honoured.
Dr. AlKaabi emphasized on the importance and feasibility of the camp in enhancing students’ abilities in various areas of innovation, allowing them to explore new topics, learn innovative future skills, experiment with high-tech equipment, and the role of workshops specialized in design processes, form innovative products, and develop skills in areas including 3D printing, laser cutting, robotics, and green technology. Students are also trained to work in teams, using creativity to explore and solve problems that can make a difference in the world.
On his part, Hussain Al Mahmoudi, CEO of SRTI Park, stressed that as receiving students and educating them in several fields was one of the goals of the entity along with the Sharjah Education Council, a range of carefully selected workshops and programmes were made available to enhance the students’ benefit from this camp. Besides promoting a culture of teamwork and using creativity, calling on parents to register their children in these technical camps was equally important, so as to let them see the future of professions and advanced industrial technologies which represent the voice of the Fourth Industrial Revolution added Al Mahmoudi.
