International Expo Consults (IEC) part of Falak Holding stated that SGI Dubai 2015 will showcase printers and digital signage panels worth over AED200 million. The show has a successful history of creating a great platform for local and global exhibitors and visitors in the signage, digital signage, retail signage solutions, outdoor media, screen and digital printing industries.
According to Smithers Pira report, printing industry revenues in the MENA region is forecast to grow at 7.2% per annum and this would touch US$26 billion by 2018.
“Governments across the region have entered into a diversification mode, and as a result, the printing and publishing industry in the region has seen an increased investment. Latest machinery is being deployed in place of old ones that had limited capacity. With the advent of new technology, the automation process has also gathered momentum. This exponential growth offers huge opportunities for the stake holders in the industry such as the printers, raw material suppliers and print equipment suppliers,” said Mr. Abdul Rahman Falaknaz, Chairman of IEC.
The worldwide digital signage systems market is poised to touch $13.8 Billion by 2017 as per a new report by Global industry Analysts Inc. As per reports, the UAE digital signage market is pegged to grow at a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of around 23% during 2014-2019. This growth is being attributed to the surge in retail, travel and tourism and hospitality industries in addition to the fact that Dubai would be hosting one of the largest World Expos in 2020.
