Around 1,500 media professionals, experts, and industry stakeholders from within the Kingdom and various international countries attended the second-edition of the Saudi Media Forum that was held in the capital city of Riyadh on 20-21 February, 2023.

Through its various sessions and workshops, the forum discussed developments in global media in its various sectors such as print, broadcast, and digital platforms, and highlighted the new dimensions of journalism and the importance of digital media, digital platforms, and mobile journalism.

The forum also reviewed the most prominent local and international media experiences, and its role as an important industry in handling economic, political, and issues. The reality of Arab media and many media-related issues were also looked into.

Mohammed Fahad Al-Harthi, President of Saudi Media Forum, says, “The forum is a media and cultural platform for dialogue, discussions, and opinions on the reality and the future of the media, which is witnessing rapid development. It is taking place at a time when the Saudi media is seeing an unprecedented boom by keeping pace with global changes and making use of the latest, most-advanced technologies that have contributed to the spread of its content on a global scale.”

“The forum provides an opportunity to meet with intellectuals, writers, and opinion makers from around the world, and learn about some of the most successful media stories being shared,” adds Al-Harthi.

Winners of the Saudi Media Forum Award were announced during the event.
