“The City of Light” is all set to host the Paris Packaging Week 2022 (29-30 June, 2022), the international mega festival of packaging innovation. ADF, PCD, and PLD, the three futuristic events will now be held under a single umbrella brand and are being co-located at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles.
The two-day event, organized by Belgium-based event company Easyfairs, has been designed to offer immense opportunities for world-renowned brands to meet suppliers, find the latest packaging solutions, and solve some of their biggest innovation challenges, from sustainability and smart packaging to the latest design trends and premiumisation. Thousands of packaging designers, developers, and buyers – from top brands such as Chanel, Clarins, LVMH, and P&G – have already booked their tickets to attend and create the future of their brands.
The event also aims at helping participants to anticipate trends, support developments, extend networks, and boost their packaging businesses in the aerosols, beauty, and premium drinks sectors.
ADF has the reputation of being the world’s only annual event dedicated to driving innovation, business, and knowledge in the global aerosol and dispensing sector. This year’s event will bring together dedicated aerosol and dispensing technology suppliers with buyers and specifiers catering to industries such as automotive, household, personal care, pharmaceutical, and many more.
PCD is the second event that has one mission: to be the catalyst for business and innovation for the global perfume and cosmetics packaging community. Teams from the biggest brands in cosmetics, make-up, luxury products, perfume, and skincare will be showing up at PCD to discover and source the latest packaging products, materials, and specialist suppliers to define their packaging development projects for the year ahead.
The future of premium drinks packaging will be uncovered at PLD, the third event, where brand owners in the beverage industry can find and discover hundreds of materials, products, and their suppliers.
Launched in 2020, PLD is the only annual event in Paris dedicated to sourcing and discovering all the latest and innovative materials, products, and a network of suppliers to help shape the future of packaging and premium drinks.
The event connects packaging designers, specifiers, and buyers from wine, spirit, and premium soft drink brands with the world’s leading packaging suppliers and experts under one roof. The event also gives a great opportunity to discover new options and suppliers in bottles, caps, decorations, labels, presentation boxes, and much more.
A feature of the event is the Talks programme that will deliver more than 30 hours of high-quality information and technical content presented by more than 40 speakers who will share their ideas and visions in their specialized fields. Designed in collaboration with world-leading brands, the talks provide learning from some of the most influential and innovative experts in the packaging industry on challenges and trends faced by the beauty, premium drinks, aerosol and dispensing sectors.
Paris Packaging Week stands incomplete without its annual Innovation Awards. The ADF&PCD and PLD Innovation Awards are a celebration and acknowledgement of the world’s best innovations across aerosol and dispensing systems, cosmetics, perfume, personal care, and premium drinks judged by the most influential brands by a panel of senior packaging experts.
This year, the 47 jury members have awarded 58 products out of a total of 180 entries in the competition. Categories for the ADF Awards include personal care, household products, industrial products and technical applications, concept of the year, and sustainable innovation. The PCD Awards include personal care, mass market and premium make-up, mass market and premium skincare, men’s and women’s fragrances, and limited editions as the prizewinning categories, while the PLD Awards were given for sections including sparkling wine and champagne; still wine; mass market, premium, and luxury spirits and liquors; presentation pack; sustainable innovation; e-commerce; and packaging redesign.
”I am sure that these two days of the event will allow the entire community to meet today’s challenges and innovate together,” says Marketing and Community Director of Paris Packaging Week Christelle Anya.
