Online Print Symposium 2022: Start-Ups Confirmed

What do reimagined, customised textile production, individual drinks and AI in logistics have in common? These – and three other topics – will be the focus of the Insight Pitches at the Online Print Symposium on 28 and 29 April 2022 in Munich. The winning start-ups that will present their innovative business ideas as part of the new programme on the first day of the event have already been selected. However, for the time being, the names of the winners remain a secret. The organisers will announce them successively starting 7 weeks before the event, i.e., one start-up per week.

The Insight Pitches are one of the many exciting innovations at the Online Print Symposium 2022. Start-ups from all areas of online print were invited to apply for one of the coveted presentation slots. Six were selected and will present their fresh approaches and, in addition, answer questions from the audience.

Even though the names of the winning start-ups will only be revealed shortly before the OPS, this much can already be said: The Insight Pitches will offer an interesting cross-section of different industries and fields of application and thus provide exciting inspiration for the online print community. The aim of the new programme highlight is to promote the exchange between young, creative entrepreneurs and established industry leaders. In this way, both sides should benefit: While the newbies gain a new perspective on their own business, the latter can learn from the experiences and know-how of the big players.

“An agile industry thrives on new ideas. Ideas that are often found by young, dynamic companies. The Insight Pitches bring established and new companies together. In this way, the online print industry receives new insights and entirely new business models may even emerge. In any case, it will be an enrichment for all participants,” explains Jens Meyer, co-organiser from printXMedia.

For all those who are curious about which start-ups will be participating in the Insight Pitches, the first hints are already available on the OPS website in the programme section, which should shorten the waiting time until the official announcement. Thus, it will not only be about the three topics mentioned at the beginning, but also about cloud-based, modular mass customisation on mobile devices, about photo management software without downloading software and about a very special platform that wants to take the topic of industrial one-off production in Latin America to a new level.

And there is also news in the allocation of partner places for OPS 2022: Benchpool, a software provider that enables on-demand ordering of complex print products, is now part of the spectrum of partners. Interested parties can still secure one of the remaining, limited partner places by sending an enquiry to Sandra Bellof at [email protected]
