Oman Plast 2016 To Be Held In January

3rd INTERNATIONAL PLASTICS, RUBBER, CHEMICALS, PRINTING AND PACKAGING INDUSTRY EXHIBITION 2016(Oman Plast) will be held from 5th to 7th January 2016 at Oman International Exhibition Centre, Muscat . A wide range of suppliers and manufacturers will exhibit wide range of equipment including printing, embossing, lamination plant, coating plant, flocking plant, metallizing plant, in mold decoration, blow molds, extrusion dyes, post processing machines, plastic packaging machinery, materials, chemicals, ancillary equipment and plastic finished products will be on display.

The exhibition is organized by Silver Star. The company is established in 1992, and it is one of the leading organisers of large scale exhibitions and events in Oman.

Often referred to as the paradise of the Gulf, Oman is indeed one of the most picturesque countries in the Gulf. Surrounded by pristine beaches and craggy brown mountains, the Sultanate holds immense opportunities for all, be it tourist, traders, businessmen and for joint ventures.

Growth in economy saw an immense demand for quality products, which resulted in increase of imports. Oman has been importing from over 100 countries around the world. Total imports recorded in 2007 valued at U.S. $ 15,974.92 million and total exports at U.S. $ 24,684.14 million. Besides, Oman has a flourishing re-export market to Yemen and Iran.

Customs duty ordinary payable is only five percent on general products. The exchange rate of Rial Omani is 0.386 per U.S. $ in a very short time, the country has made rapid economic progress with GDP touching a high of U.S. $ 40.33 billion in 2007. The trends spell advancement, growth, industrialization and diversification.
