Libya’s Rabah Printing Installs Koenig & Bauer Rapida 145
Libya’s Rabah Printing and Packing Co. has installed a Koenig & Bauer Rapida 145 large-format sheetfed offset press. The technical crew of Cairo-based Sidhom Printing Solutions carried out the successful machine installation.
Incorporating a whole host of trendsetting innovations, the Rapida 145 series is commonly used in packaging applications, besides commercial printing and various special applications. Its high production of up to 18,000 sheets per hour caters for users with long runs. The sidelay-free infeed DriveTronic SIS, simultaneous plate changing with DriveTronic SPC, the disengaging of unused inking units as a standard feature, CleanTronic cloth-based washing systems for parallel washing processes, fast coating forme changes with DriveTronic SFC, and anilox roller changing with AntiSleeve are just a few automation components that enable many processes to run concurrently at job changeover that contributes to the shortest ever makeready times.
