Kuwait’s Ahli United Bank Aids Sustainability By Going Digital

Kuwait’s Ahli United Bank (AUB) has gone digital, providing advanced digital banking services in all its branches through gradual transition from paper-based transactions. Customers can complete their transactions with civil ID card digital verification and e-signatures and receiving instant receipts via e-mail among others, ensuring a pioneering banking experience that keeps pace with the digital acceleration.

The paperless transactions not only lead to speedy transactions and operational efficiency, but also reflect the organizational approach to supporting environmental sustainability.

Abdullah Jaragh, General Manager Information Technology at AUB says, “Enhancing customer experience, whether through the bank’s branches or its online channels, is our primary goal, and from this standpoint we have taken the initiative to implement this new service and operate it in the bank’s main branch, provided that it is circulated to more branches successively.”

Digital transactions have been met with great acceptance among the bank’s customers with details of banking transactions sent instantly to customers via e-mail, with reduced paper documents. In addition to the ease of keeping the digital copy, it is secured with a strong and unique password ensuring more security and privacy for the customer.

“Ahli United Bank continues to develop its services and products to keep pace with developments in the banking sector. In this context, the bank considers the digitization of banking services and solutions provided to customers and the application of the latest digital banking technology as the most important element in providing a banking experience that satisfies customers’ aspirations,” says Jaragh.
