Jordan: JIEC, Al Mithaliah Ink Deal for New Food Factory

The Jordan Industrial Estates Company (JIEC) and Al Mithaliah Arab Company, a leading regional beverage manufacturer, have signed an investment deal for 10-million Jordanian dinars to set up a new food production facility. The facility aims to enhance Al Mithaliah’s commitment to developing local production capacity to serve both domestic and export markets. The agreement was signed between JIEC Director General Omar Juwaid and Al Mithaliah General Manager Zaid Bazzaz.

The 33-dunum facility will be located in JIEC’s Al Muwaqar Industrial Estate (MIE) and is expected to create around 150 jobs. “Industrial development zones in Jordan, particularly Al Muwaqar, have become the premier destination for manufacturers looking to establish operations in the Kingdom,” says Juwaid.

“The partnership with Al Mithaliah Arab Company represents one of our most significant investments in the food sector and will showcase the quality of Jordanian products in markets throughout the region and beyond,” adds Juwaid.

“We selected Al Muwaqar after careful evaluation of the incentives and logistics advantages that will enable us to reach global markets efficiently. The agreement demonstrates a shared commitment to enhancing Jordan’s industrial ecosystem through modern infrastructure development,” comments Bazzaz.

MIE is equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure and facilities catering to the diverse needs of investors. The industrial zone is also distinguished by its strategic location along the international highway that links Jordan with Iraq and Saudi Arabia.
