The highlight of the company’s product portfolio was undoubtedly the DIGI COMPACT, a converting and finishing line for digitally printed labels and packaging. Able to work at high speeds of 80 m/min. using linear paper feed, the DIGI COMPACT accepts a rich selection of optional features, allowing for personalization and is easy to use, even for unskilled operators.

Moreover, the DIGI COMPACT is designed to fit everywhere, eliminating any superfluous steps, increasing production efficiency, and reducing processing times. Linear web paths with lengths kept to a minimum, helps avoid waste material between one job and the next.

At drupa, the highly compact platform was displayed in a ‘roll to stack’ configuration to finish IML labels, wet glue, and stickers. “We sold the machine to a South African customer who appreciated its compact design, the extreme versatility of material processing, the digital finishing, and its futuristic nature,” says Chiara.

DIGIFASTone, a high-speed, modular digital coverting line, with processing speeds of up to 90 m/min. was another attraction. Built with the new FUTURA open-platform technology, DIGIFASTone significantly increases productivity by generating less waste material and drastically reducing downtime between jobs. Other products on show included the ALHENA IML converting machine and the SATURN BKL advanced slitter inspection rewinder for BKLs and ECLs.

Founded in 1973 in Faenza, Italy, PRATI can boast of being the third longest running company in the self-adhesive finishing sector. By investing in new technologies and managing processes – from design and prototyping through to installation and technical support – PRATI offers tailored solutions for post-print finishing, inspection, die-cutting, matrix stripping, rewinding, cutting, and overprinting.
