Germans Invest in Egyptian Printing and Packaging Industry

Ahmed Jaber, President of the Printing Industries Chamber, Egypt, announced the participation of the Chamber and the Export Council in the innovation project in the private sector submitted by the German Cooperation Agency. The Project will be implemented for a period of 3 years (from June 2021 to May 2024) with a financing of 12 million euros.

He added in his statements that the goal of the project is to work on improving the conditions for innovation in the manufacturing sector, which are between 15 and 35 years old.

He pointed out that the printing and packaging sector are among industrial sectors that benefit from the project, which aims to provide support to policy makers at the Ministry of Trade and Industry.

He added that the innovation project targets specific services in the direct business environment of the manufacturing sector by providing specific advisory services aimed at increasing the innovative strength of the manufacturing sector, in addition to training of entrepreneurs and employees. This will speed up the process of modernization within companies while encouraging entrepreneurs to introduce product and process innovations, make more investment, and hire additional workers.

It also aims to improve the integration of small and medium-sized companies in manufacturing into local, regional, and international value chains and boost local manufacturing.
