Emirates Printing Press Bags 8 FPA Achievement Awards

Dubai-based Emirates Printing Press (EPP), a leading printing and packaging solutions provider in the Middle East, has set a benchmark by bagging a total of eight awards at the recently concluded 66th annual Flexible Packaging Achievement Awards instituted by US-based Flexible Packaging Association (FPA). FPA has conducted the annual competition since 1956 to showcase the industry’s innovation and the advances that have revolutionized packaging.

EPP’s three Gold Awards were for the cast and cure technique used to print the front panel of Ahmad Tea’s cardamom tea pouch that gives it a holographic effect that prevents counterfeit duplicates, along with eight-colour reverse printing; for shelf impact by using an OPP and PE-based laminate for ensuring Nestle KITKAT Mini Moments 3D recyclable pouch a good sealing quality and finish, with a laser scoring for easy tearing by the consumer; and designing a stand-up pouch printed in rich vibrant colours and appealing visual effects for Nestle Mackintosh’s Quality Street giving it a superior shelf impact.

FPA received a historic number of 325 entries with 27 packages honoured with 43 Achievement Awards. The winning entries were announced during the FPA Welcome Dinner & Flexible Packaging Awards ceremony held on 23 March, 2022, at the beautiful Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort and Spa in Bonita Springs, Florida.
