Egypt’s Tulip for Printing & Industry Invests Big for the Future

Egypt’s Tulip for Printing & Industry plans to increase its volume of investments to $12 million in 2024 as against $10 million this year, buying state-of-the-art machines to increase productivity, according to Ibrahim Sallout, Managing Director of the company.

Sallout also announced that Tulip aims to increase investments in its Sharm El-Sheikh factory to approximately $4.5 million by next June, compared to $3 million this year, with a growth rate of up to 30% to meet various product demands from the tourism sector.

The Cairo-headquartered offset and flexo printing company’s major clients comprising hotels, restaurants (including some of the most popular ones in the city of El Mahalla El Kubra), supermarkets, and pharmacies, avail a vast array of print services from the company ranging from menu cards to POS items and bag and packaging covers.

Tulip is also known for the manufacture of carpet labels that requires special machinery and materials. “Tulip is synonymous with labeling when it comes to food items such as dairy and chocolate packaging, medicines, etc. with some of the major food packaging and pharmaceutical companies,” says Sallout.

Tulip also has the distinction of having the only major printing press in South Sinai, with its 1,000 sq. m. Sharm El-Sheikh unit.

Operating since 1982, Tulip for Printing & Industry has been making a remarkable leap in producing environmentally friendly products. The company’s main factory, covering an area of 12,000 sq. m., is located at Obour, 35 kms north-east of Cairo, besides units in the beach resort town of Hurghada and South Sinai’s Sharm El-Sheikh.
