Drupa 2016 will host the traditional Egyptian Printing Day on 2 June 2016 in Hall 7.1 on the first floor, with the attendance of representatives from the Egyptian printing, designing, prepress, advertising, packaging, and publishing industries.

The Egyptian Printing Day is organized by the German Arab Chamber of Commerce in Egypt, the Drupa Administration, the Egyptian Printing Industries Chamber and Arab Print Media. Nine Egyptian companies are sponsoring this year’s Egyptian Day, including Integrated Office Systems, Xerox Egypt, Digi Pro, Kheiashy House, Texti, Youssef Allam, Sidhom, Al Hussein, and Delta.

After the main event, a serious of special guided tours for Egyptian printers will be organized to the nine sponsors’ booths during the following three days.

Recently, two special pre-drupa events were organized in Egypt, in Cairo on the 9th of February, and in Alexandria on the 9th of March. Hundreds of printers attended both the events, where all the major manufacturers presented their latest products and technologies to be showcased at drupa.

Dr. George Nubar, the acting dean of the Faculty of Applied Arts at Helwan University, and Walid Quorish, deputy manager of PETRA, the printing and advertising ETP of Egypt, commented that the Egyptian Day at drupa has always been a very important event for the Egyptian printing packaging and publishing industries since 2008, not only as a gathering place for all Egyptian printers at drupa but also a showcase of the strength of the Egyptian printing industry to the world.
