Egypt: Al- Ahram to Sell its Stake in Al Badr Plastic

The Board of Directors of Al-Ahram Printing and Packaging Company agreed to authorize Naseem Mohieldin Arafa, in his capacity as Chairman of the Board of Directors, to sell the company’s entire share of 358.41 thousand shares in Al-Badr Plastic Company at the highest specified price.

The company said in a statement that it is intended to use the sale proceeds to finance working capital.

Al-Ahram Printing and Packaging Company achieved a net profit of 1.19 million pounds from the beginning of January until the end of last March, compared to 494.6 thousand pounds during the same period last year.

Net revenues and sales fell during the three months to 9.63 million pounds at the end of March, compared to 17.76 million pounds during the same period last year.

Founded in 1990, Al- Ahram produces, manufactures and prints packaging materials including cardboard, paper, plastic, multi-layers, and in general packaging materials that contain multi-layer foil and converted paper paper.
