During recently held SGI 2014 Designer’s Chairman Laith Al Taei purchased an all new Acuity Advance Select 4006 from Fujifilm. The company has a wide range of wide format printers including 4 Vutek 5 meter printers as well as hydraulic cutting and bending machines, CNC router cutting and engraving, fully automated stainless steel and aluminum 3D letter forming machine, router cutting, acrylic, wood, and metal Fabrication equipment and a wide range of other signage production equipment.
Al Taei says he is now focusing more on UV printing and environmentally friendly equipment. “Printing industry in Abu Dhabi is growing fast. I remember 11 years ago the biggest wide format printer in Abu Dhabi was a 2.6 meter machine but now at our company we have 4 Vutek 5 meter machines.” Explains Al Taei and adds” I’m always on the lookout for new technology which is more productive, less maintenance intensive and offers better quality. We had a very good experience with a Sericol machine. It is an excellent technology and now the new flatbed machine from Fujifilm will help us grow even further.”

There was hardly any flatbed machines in Abu Dhabi but the demand is picking up and the new investment by Designer in an all new Acuity Advance Select 4006 is a clear indication of a booming LFP market in this Emirate.”
One of the key developments incorporated into the new Acuity Advance Select is the inclusion of eight independent ink channels. In addition to the standard CMYK ink set, the Acuity Advance Select includes additional white and clear ink channels. These can be configured in a number of ways including Clear + White and White + White.
The Acuity Advance Select’s print performance is optimized by Fujifilm’s Uvijet inks. These incorporate the company’s proprietary ‘Micro-V’ dispersion technology that delivers wide adhesion, color vibrancy and durability in every print.
