Dar Quran Africa Invests In A New Speedmaster
Aiming at resolving the big shortage of Quran books in Africa, Dar Quran Africa signed a contract with Heidelberg North East Africa to buy an all new Speedmaster SX 102-4-P.
The signing ceremony was in the presence of the Ambassador of the State of Qatar H.E. Rashid bin Abdul Rahman Al Nuaimi, and the consultant of the Minister of Awkaf of Qatar Dr. Khalifa bin Jassim Al Kuwari. Dar Quran Africa was represented by its Managing Director Dr. Hamza Sheikh Mohammad Saleh while Heidelberg North East Africa was represented by its CEO Adel Allam.
Established in 1994, Dar Quran Africa is considered to be global charitable foundation. It is honored to contribute in printing the Holy Quran and making it available to millions of Muslims in Africa. Dar Quran Africa was officially launched in July 2001, choosing its headquarters in Sudan by virtue of its geographical location and history in the African continent.
The Ambassador of Qatar in Sudan H.E. Rashad Abdul Rahman Al Nuaimi stated that this fund comes in the frame of bilateral relations between Qatar and Sudan. He also confirmed that the investment in this new machine will pay off by increasing productivity tremendously.
“Owning this machine was more of a dream to us! The innovation of Heidelberg machines enables a production capability of three million copies per year – which is 3 times more than our current capacity. This allows us to keep pace with the rising demand for the Holy Quran in African countries.” stated Dr. Hamza Sheikh Mohammed Saleh, Managing Director of Dar Quran Africa.
From his part, Adel Allam, CEO of Heidelberg North East Africa underlined his support for Dar Quran Africa by providing modern printing machines, consumables, service and training. He is also looking forward to more cooperation with Dar Quran Africa in the future.
