Moll International Introduces New Continuous Feed In-Line Taping System

Moll International, the industry’s leading supplier of folder/gluers and specialised bindery finishing equipment for printing and packaging facilities, will introduce a new in-line continuous feed taping system at PRINT 17, the largest exhibition of printing and mailing/fulfillment equipment in the Americas, scheduled for Chicago’s McCormick Place from 10 – 14 September. In addition to the new taping system, Moll International’s parent company, B&R Moll, Inc., will have several working folder/gluers as part of their exhibit.

The new MollTi Taper System is designed with an independent continuous feeder capable of handling both regular and irregularly shaped objects, and can also be operated in-line with a existing feeder. The MollTi Taper System can run up to four tape heads, and features built-in registration, controller and LMS (linear motion sensor). The new taping system features a heavy-duty reinforced frame with a compact footprint.

“The new MollTi Taper System enables printers and packagers to continuously apply double-sided tape with an in-line, self-contained unit that can be changed out in minutes, providing a great deal of flexibility,” said Darren Vernon, director of Moll International. “We’re looking forward to introducing this new system to our customers in Europe.”

The new MollTi Taper System is ideal for applying tape to table and shelf talkers, wobblers, posters, signage and other printed pieces, as shown in this video.

In addition to the new taping system, B&R Moll will be demonstrating their digi-mollPAK folder/gluer, an in-line compact system that incorporates an open format design to facilitate quick changeover between jobs and a dual-stream capacity to enable multiple feeds. Positive feed control offers both continuous feeds for regular stock as well as irregularly shaped materials. The digi-mollPAK system at PRINT ’17 will demonstrate folding and gluing a make-up box with a pre-break, as shown in this video.

The B&R Moll Premier 36 System will also be part of the PRINT ’17 working demonstration. A folder/gluer machine specifically designed to perform complex folding and gluing tasks on large-format print media, the Premier 36 System will demonstrate folding and gluing a courier envelope and double-sided tape application with an in-line silicone head applicator, as shown in this video.

The B&R Moll Mailing System will also be operating at PRINT 17. The pile-fed system will be feeding a 648mm x 114mm (25.5” x 4.5”) sheet stock, which will be scored, perforated, and folded closed with fugitive glue tip applied, as shown in this video.

B&R Moll will showcase their machines in Booth #3608 at PRINT 17, held at Chicago’s McCormick Place on September 10 – 14. PRINT 17 information is available here: http://print2017.com/
