Mapitek Upgrades Production with BOBST EXPERT CI
Mapitek, a subsidiary of Algerian hygiene products manufacturer Faderco Group, has commissioned a BOBST EXPERT CI flexo press at its facility in the eastern city of Sétif.
The machine, which was installed with the technical support from Bobst Africa & Middle East based in Tunisia, has significantly upgraded Mapitek’s production capacity.
The innovative features of the EXPERT CI platform succeed in maximising CI flexo process consistency. It delivers stable and controlled printing results and exceptional productivity with both solvent and water-based inks. Its exclusive technical solutions make it a perfect fit for the requirements of the 7-colour Extended Color Gamut (ECG) printing process.
Key innovations include smartGPS or smartSET exclusive systems for registration and impression setting that guarantees minimum waste of substrate and consumables at start-up and job changes, smartFLO inking system and chamber doctor blade delivering stable and controlled printing results with all ink types, triLOCK bearing system with high torque mechanism replacing manual locking, Full Surface Matrix intercolour dryer for preventing substrate stretching, and oneECG for optimised results with 7-colour ECG process.
The machine’s modular concept allows it to be customised to specific requirements. Printing frames are designed to combine rigidity with ease of operation. Other highlights include a drying system with user-friendly maintenance access, and automatic shafted duplex winders to carry out a fully automatic bi-directional reel splice at maximum machine speed.
Mapitek’s Sétif facility houses production lines for baby diapers, adult diapers, and paper products.
