Canon Middle East , hosted the fourth edition of its vertical industry seminar – Insight Live, targeted at the education sector. The two-day event was attended by over 100 stakeholders within the MENA education sector, where Canon demonstrated solutions and applications to help institutions reduce their overall print costs and enhance overall productivity.

During the event the team showcased the value of introducing an in-house printing facility for educational institutions and enhance the current services to students and parents. This included developing customized and personalized materials, improving document security, and also how to use Canon technology to automate, improve business processes within the institution.

“Printing solutions are important to the education sector, yet they can have a significant impact on budgets. Excess printing incurs huge costs on educational and academic institutions in both hidden and explicit ways. To reduce overall printing costs and enhance productivity, many schools are re-thinking their printing strategies,” said Naoshi Yamada, Deputy Managing Director, Canon Middle East .

“Excessive colour printing, inefficient processes and personal copying can slowly drain resources, resulting in phenomenal costs, every academic year. This is where we believe Canon products and business solutions can add real value and help institutions become more productive and financially efficient given the growing printing and document management requirements,” added Yamada.

Educational institutions in the region are constantly looking for new solutions to accomplish meaningful paper and ink-usage, while saving energy and operational costs. Phenomenal amounts are spent by schools on equipment lease, paper consumption and printing costs each academic year. Working closely with Canon , the education industry in the region will be able to significantly reduce expenditures associated with printing materials, energy consumption and printer running costs. Canon technology can make printing more cost effective, eco-friendly, secure and convenient not only for students but for faculty and staff as well.

“We are pleased to have yet another successful Insight Live event in Dubai, this time specifically targeting stakeholders of the education sector. These seminars are insightful as they facilitate direct interaction with our customers and help us understand their business needs. At Canon Middle East , we aim to help academic institutions across the region streamline their print operations, without impacting the quality of printed materials. Through Canon ‘s print solutions, we believe Canon will be true partners to educational institutions towards helping them achieve their organisational goals including cost efficiency, security and most importantly with productivity,” said Hendrik Verbrugghe, Marketing Director, Canon Middle East.
