FESPA 2026 successfully concluded in Barcelona. As the overall event sponsor, packaging solutions major BOBST took the opportunity to connect with partners and customers, sharing insights and exploring how innovation is shaping the future of corrugated packaging.
Across three sessions, BOBST emphasised that the future success of the industry relies on producing smarter rather than producing more. The discussions centred on navigating current industry headwinds and implementing advanced technological solutions across manufacturing workflows.
In the opening session, Christian Yuki Vionnet, Product Marketing Director and Technology Sales Manager, outlined a strategic framework for turning challenges into opportunities by highlighting how integration, agility, automation, and precision help converters stay competitive.
Jan Deschuytter, Technology Sales Manager at BOBST Novara, detailed the growing impact of integrated robotics within the corrugated board sector. He showed how robotics enables smarter operations by improving productivity, reducing material waste, and supporting safer material-handling workflows across the entire floor—from loading to palletising.
In the final session, David Arnaud, Product Marketing and NPI Program Management Director, focused on simplifying complexity with digitalisation and automation. Arnaud demonstrated how connected systems and modular automation enhance visibility, repeatability, and efficiency.
