Agfa Graphics is proud to announce that the Jeti Titan HS wide-format inkjet printing system has been selected as “Product of the Year” at the 2014 SGIA Expo in Las Vegas. The competition recognized the latest equipment and supplies currently on the market that are advancing the specialty imaging industry.
The 122 x 79 inch, six-color plus white (CMYKLcLmWW) Jeti Titan HS flatbed UV printing system (with FTR option) is equipped with two rows of the latest generation 1,280-nozzle Ricoh Gen 5 print heads for maximum productivity. The Jeti Titan HS combines exceptional print quality and high productivity at a best-in-industry price point. It is ideal for high-value work like POP/POS viewed at close range or for the high-level art, fashion and cosmetics markets. A new digital primer, typically used to extend the durability of prints created for outdoor signage and displays, makes the Jeti Titan HS even more versatile.
Sixty-eight companies from around the world entered the competition, nominating 139 products in 25 categories. Each product was judged during the 2014 SGIA Expo and are on display in the Golden Image Gallery on the Expo floor.
“We are extremely pleased to have been selected for this prestigious award. The competition was particularly fierce and this award is testament to the hard work of many people at Agfa Graphics all over the world to bring the Jeti Titan HS to market,” said Deborah Hutcheson, Director of Marketing, Agfa Graphics, North America. “We knew the Jeti Titan HS was hands-down the most efficient, most reliable and most cost-effective flatbed UV printing system available in North America and it’s a thrill to be recognized with this award from SGIA 2014.”
White printing on the Jeti Titan HS supports different modes including overprint, under-print, spot, under-spot, fill and over-spot for rigids and pre-white for roll media. The “flat-to-roll” option gives users the ability to print flexible media with the same high quality and resolution as rigid materials at the maximum media width. The “S” version of the Jeti Titan has a single row of print heads, but is field upgradeable to add the second row.
