Fujifilm Goes Large On FESPA Eurasia 2013
Fujifilm today announces that it has taken the largest stand to date at the inaugural FESPA Eurasia show (Istanbul, October 3rd – 5th). On stand C30, Fujifilm is showcasing the widest range of industry leading high-end and mid-range print production solutions, all of which have been selected especially for this growing marketplace. High productivity combined with superior image quality will be demonstrated across all devices.
High-end flatbed devices
The Inca Onset S40i flatbed UV inkjet printer will be one of the major focuses of the Fujifilm stand. Meeting the high-volume, fast-turnaround production needs of specialist display print companies, the Onset S40i uses 168 new-generation, user-replaceable printheads (28 per colour) on a full width print array delivering a 28 picolitre drop size. Key features include a zoned bed; an innovative UV sensor system and sophisticated substrate height detector.
The S40i produces superb POS-quality display graphics economically at throughput speeds of up to 560 sqm/hr, equivalent to 112 full bed sheets/hr (3.14 x 1.6m) and onto substrates up to 50mm (2 in) thick. A choice of uni-directional, bi-directional and high quality print modes can be selected depending on the specific job requirements. As a result, it is ideal for the production of single and double-sided display POS, exhibition graphics, backlit/frontlit displays, outdoor signage printing and cosmetic/fashion graphics etc.
High-end roll-fed devices
In addition, the five metre version of Fujifilm’s super-wide format Uvistar Pro8 roll fed printer which was launched at drupa last year will also be on show. Ideal for the needs of the Eurasian market, the platform is particularly suited to producing super-wide format print for both display POP and outdoor advertising markets on flexible and rigid media, and includes a complete set of light colours within the ink set which increase print quality without compromising print speed. Together with its unique Parallel Drop Size (PDS) technology, this allows the Uvistar Pro8 to produce high definition display POP graphics at speeds in excess of 300m2/hour.
Industry favourite flatbed printers
For mid-range solutions, one of the most popular models in the Acuity flatbed range, the Acuity Advance HS, will be featured on the stand. The ultimate platform for printing on rigid, flexible and even roll media, delivering near-photographic quality images across a diverse range of creative print applications, Acuity Advance printers feature the latest technology to deliver superb performance and have a range of investment and upgrade options.
The Acuity Advance HS is the most productive UV printer in the series with four colours and a white ink option. It is capable of producing high quality print at up to 61m2 per hour on a wide range of display and signage materials.
LED roll fed printers
Finally, Fujifilm’s Acuity LED 1600 will also be featured, able to achieve a best-in-class combination of 20m2/hr productivity and excellent image quality. It supports substrates up to 1,610mm in width and is designed to print on wide-format roll media and rigid sheet substrates up to 13mm thick (including PET, acrylic, polycarbonate substrates and lightweight boards).
The printer features six ink colours plus white and clear ink as standard and can apply these in a single pass to produce a premium high gloss finish with a much higher efficiency than a conventional printer (where coloured and clear inks are applied in separate passes). Highlighting in particular what is possible in terms of added value applications, the Acuity LED 1600 is ideal for many large format applications such as posters, in-store POP and retail displays, as well as packaging.
“We are very excited to be present at the first FESPA Eurasia. Fujifilm has supported FESPA since its inception, and having established a Fujifilm sales office in Turkey only last year, taking such a large stand at this show reflects our commitment to this market,” comments Kevin Jenner business manager wide format, Europe – Eastern Region. “We acknowledge that this is a strategically important and fast developing region, and the product line up, the media and print modes we have chosen have been specifically tailored to suit the needs of this marketplace. We look forward to welcoming visitors to the stand and discussing their specific requirements.”
