The World Publishing Expo 2012 took place from 29-31 October 2012 at the Frankfurt Messe Exhibition fairground in Germany. CEOs, IT Directors, Business Development Directors, Technical Heads and Editors in Chiefs of leading newspapers participated at the event. Every year around 8000 visitors from more than 90 countries attend the event.
The event covered almost all aspects of publishing and offers latest solutions for mobile/tablet, editorial/advertising or printing/postpress. More than 250 exhibitors from 30 countries filled the 9,000 square meters of the exhibition space, which included newspaper pre-press, press and mailroom equipment manufacturers, editorial and publishing system providers and more. Organized by the World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers (WAN-IFRA), the conference hosted various conferences and seminars that included topics like ‘Power of Print Focus Sessions, ‘Tablet & App Summit’, ‘Advertising Summit’ and ‘Media Port Sessions’. In the ‘Power of Print Focus Sessions’ case studies on innovations in printing, selling print capacity, retrofitting and upgrading printing presses was held.
